Chelsea - Manchester City _____________________________________________________________________________________

The battle of two ex-madridistas, Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini seems to be very exciting.  The best defense vs. the best attack of the EPL this season.

Jose Mourinho’s team is now the second of the league trailing only Arsenal. In the last three matches the Blues scored  11 goals, so their attack is in top form. Manchester city is on a good run as well. Manuel Pellegrini and his players are in fourth place in the league table and have won three straight matches. Moreover, attack of the Sky blues have scored the most goals in this season, so they will make a good test for the Chelsea’s defenders, who also played well from the start of the season and conceded only 5 goals. The Blues defense will have to keep tabs on the Man City’s Yaya Touré and prolific goal scorer Sergio Agüero, who have combined in for 10 goals this season. Argentinian international scored two goals in City's last match, which ended in 3-1 win over West Ham. Another double goal scorer from previous week Eden Hazard is ready to challenge City’s defense lacking their captain Kompany. Hazard scored two against Cardiff and Chelsea won 4-1.

Ashley Cole was excluded from the squad for the Champions League match against Schalke, but  “The Special One” Mourinho hopes that first-choice left-back will be available today. Pellegrini also had expectations that his skipper Vince “The Prince” Kompany will be available for this match after a three-week lay-off, but unfortunately for the City’s fans the Belgian is still out of the game.

Mourinho characterized his opponents in a few words, “A fantastic squad, fantastic players, a really good team”.

“Winning at West Ham and CSKA means we will go into this game with a lot more confidence, but we know Chelsea won’t be an easy game,” said Samir Nasri, Manchester City midfielder.

Interestingly, that Mourinho has never lost at Stamford Bridge ground in the EPL matches during his staying at London club, while Manchester City have scored in just two of their last 11 matches at Stamford Bridge. By the way, Manchester City are unbeaten in their last five games against the London club in all competitions. So how would it end today?
